CASE 05
Root canal treatment
BEFORE
AFTER
- Treatment
- We removed and cleaned out the old medication and bacteria from inside the root canal, then filled it with MTA cement, a newer dental cement valued for its strong antibacterial action and good sealing. At the 3-month follow-up, the area of inflammation at the root tip (seen as a dark shadow) had shrunk, and the bone around it had begun to regenerate and heal. *MTA cement has strong alkalinity and a powerful antibacterial action, which lowers the risk of recurrence.
- Treatment time and number of visits
- Approx. 1.5–2 months (about 4–5 visits). Follow-up: 3–6 months after treatment
- Cost
- ¥29,700 (tax included) and up (breakdown: MTA cement ¥22,000 + root filling material ¥7,700). *A CT diagnostic fee (¥3,960) and the cost of a crown are charged separately.
- Risks and side effects
- Temporary pain or swelling can occur during treatment or right after it. If the shape of the root canal is complex, or the lesion is too large, surgical treatment may become necessary, and there is some risk that the tooth cannot be saved and has to be extracted.
CASE 04
Horizontally Impacted Wisdom Tooth
BEFORE
AFTER
- Treatment
- Lower-left tooth #8: horizontally impacted mandibular wisdom tooth
- Treatment time and number of visits
- 1–2 weeks, 2 visits
- Cost
- Approx. ¥8,000–9,000 including CT (TERUPLUG hemostatic agent ¥11,000, separately)
- Risks and side effects
- Risk of inferior alveolar nerve paralysis (a loss of sensation; there are reports that in a very small percentage of cases this remains permanent, though it is more likely you will feel pain from the wisdom tooth itself)
CASE 03
Angel Veneer
BEFORE
AFTER
- Treatment
- We removed a thin layer from the surface of the front teeth and bonded on custom-made ceramic shells, laminate veneers. Along with a whitening effect, this also corrected wear at the tooth edges and uneven shapes at the same time, achieving a masculine, well-aligned, and beautiful tooth line.
- Treatment time and number of visits
- Approx. 1–1.5 months, 3–4 visits (counseling, impression, placement, etc.)
- Cost
- ¥113,300 (tax included) and up per tooth (*reference: priced under the e-max ceramic menu). *The cost varies with the number of teeth treated and the material used (zirconia, e-max, etc.).
- Risks and side effects
- A thin layer of the healthy tooth surface needs to be removed. If you bite down hard on hard foods or have a habit of grinding your teeth, the veneer may crack or come off. Temporary sensitivity may occur right after treatment.
CASE 02
Angel Veneer
BEFORE
AFTER
- Treatment
- We removed a thin layer from the tooth surface (about 0.3–0.5mm) and bonded on a thin ceramic shell, a laminate veneer. We designed each veneer while checking the tooth shade and shape, adjusting the appearance of the front teeth.
- Treatment time and number of visits
- Approx. 1 month, 2–3 visits (impression → placement)
- Cost
- ¥113,300 (tax included) and up per tooth (*reference: priced under the e-max ceramic menu). *The cost varies with the number of teeth treated and the material used (zirconia, etc.).
- Risks and side effects
- A thin layer of the healthy tooth surface needs to be removed. If strong force is applied through the bite or teeth grinding, the veneer may crack or come off. Temporary sensitivity may occur after treatment.
CASE 01
Teeth whitening
BEFORE
AFTER
- Treatment
- We carried out the Perfect Whitening Set, combining in-office whitening done at the clinic with at-home whitening done by the patient. A high-concentration agent and light exposure broke down pigment from within the tooth, and the at-home care fixed the whiteness in place, brightening the teeth to a clear white.
- Treatment time and number of visits
- Duration: approx. 1 month (3 in-office sessions + daily at-home care)
- Cost
- Total ¥104,500 (tax included) (breakdown: Perfect Whitening Set [3-session in-office course + full at-home whitening kit])
- Risks and side effects
- The whitening agent can cause temporary sensitivity (a stinging feeling) during or after treatment. Results vary between patients, and right after the procedure you need to avoid foods and drinks that are prone to staining (coffee, curry, etc.). The whiteness may also fade back over time.
