Steps before treatment begins

Please let us know your preferred date and time through our online booking form or by phone. Our Handa clinic offers a free consultation, so however small your concern may be, please don’t hesitate to come talk to us.
2. Consultation
We’ll first look at your mouth’s current condition and take the time to hear what’s concerning you and what alignment you’re hoping for. Based on that, we’ll explain the general direction treatment would take.
3. Precision exam (scanning)
Using the latest iTero scanner, we capture precise data on your teeth and bone structure. Based on this 3D data, we build a treatment plan (simulation) of how your teeth will move.
4. Diagnosis and finalizing the treatment plan
Your dentist will explain the exam results and simulation footage to you. After discussing your wishes together, we finalize the treatment plan only once you completely understand and agree to the content, duration, and cost.
5. Starting treatment (wearing your aligners)
We’ll hand you your finished aligners and take the time to explain how to practice putting them on and taking them off, how to care for them, and things to watch for in daily life. Your Invisalign treatment toward a beautiful smile officially begins here.

Q1. About how many hours a day do I need to wear it?
We recommend wearing it 20–22 hours a day. Please keep it in at all times except while eating and brushing your teeth, including while you sleep.
Q2. Does it hurt while my teeth are moving?
For about 24–48 hours right after switching to a new aligner, you may feel mild pressure or pain, like your teeth are being pushed on, but most patients gradually adjust within a few days.
