Rather than scraping the surface with metal instruments, a dedicated powder removes stains and biofilm.
Along with the staining stuck to the back of the teeth and between them, this also removes biofilm, the bacterial film that causes cavities and periodontal disease, restoring the teeth's natural whiteness and smooth surface.

- Risks and side effects
- Because the powder is sprayed with force, patients with sensitive teeth or gum inflammation may feel temporary prickling or stinging.
Also, right after the procedure the pellicle, the film that protects the tooth surface, is removed, which makes the teeth more prone to staining, so for 2–3 hours after treatment you need to avoid dark-colored food and drink (coffee, tea, curry, red wine, etc.) and smoking.
