Woman in her 30s. The patient came in wanting a whiteness that regular whitening could not achieve, and wanting an even, tidy shape to her teeth with the gaps closed. Her main concern was having healthy teeth shaved down, so she chose Angel Veneer, a treatment that can be done with almost no shaving of her own teeth.

We carried out Angel Veneer, removing a thin layer from the tooth surface (about 0.1–0.5mm) and bonding on a thin ceramic shell, like a false nail, on top. No anesthetic is needed and there is almost no pain. For this case we chose the whiter, more translucent Super White shade, brightening and lifting the whole look of the mouth at once.

Treatment time and number of visits

Duration: approx. 2 weeks – 1 month Visits: 2–3 (impression → placement) *Unlike orthodontic treatment, which can take years, this gives you your ideal tooth alignment and color in a short time.

¥110,000–¥165,000 (tax included) per tooth (*varies with the number of teeth and the grade of material)

Risks and side effects

Because the ceramic is bonded onto the tooth, the tooth becomes a little thicker than before (you may notice some discomfort until you get used to it). Because the ceramic used is very thin, it may crack or come off if very strong force is applied. Depending on the bite, this treatment may not be suitable.
