In their 30s. The patient came in concerned about noticeable crowding (crookedness) in the front teeth and teeth overlapping in a way that made them hard to brush. They wanted to straighten their teeth without the people around them noticing, using an inconspicuous appliance.

- Treatment
- We carried out orthodontic treatment using Invisalign, a clear, removable aligner appliance. Based on a 3D simulation (ClinCheck), we moved the teeth according to the treatment plan while exchanging aligners in stages. *Rather than extraction, we created space with IPR, a procedure that removes a very small amount of enamel from the tooth surface, and aligned the teeth that way.
- Treatment time and number of visits
- Approx. 1–2 years. Visits: once every 1.5–3 months (follow-up and handing over aligners)
- Cost
- Total ¥880,000 (tax included) (breakdown: Invisalign Standard package). *This package plan has no limit on the number of aligners until treatment is complete.
- Risks and side effects
- If you do not keep to the required wear time (at least 20 hours a day), the teeth will not move as planned. You may feel a tightening pain right after starting treatment or when switching to a new aligner. After treatment ends, there is a risk of the teeth shifting back if you do not use a retainer.
